แวะทานข้าวที่พังงา "เกาะเคี่ยมซีฟู้ด" อาหารอร่อย (Stumbling upon this restaurant, can turn out to be a delightful lunch.)

 

Visiting "Kheim Island Seafood" restaurant was a spontaneous decision. While driving through Phang-nga, unsure of where to have lunch, I decided to google the top seafood places to eat nearby, and that's when I stumbled upon this gem.

The food here is simply amazing, and the kindness and friendliness of the staff and the restaurant owner make the dining experience even more enjoyable. I was pleased to learn that they source all their raw materials locally, directly from the hardworking local fishermen.

The seafood here is incredibly fresh, and each dish carries an authentic and delicious flavour. Regrettably, I only had the chance to order two dishes this time, as I plan to indulge in more culinary delights with my friend "Ju" once I reach Phuket."

I ordered to a Thai-style stir-fried stink beans with shrimp and a Thai sour curry soup with crab. Although I requested a milder taste, the dishes were still a bit spicier than I preferred. Nevertheless, their incredible flavours made up for it, and I found both dishes to be absolutely delicious.

When I was young, stink beans weren't exactly my favorite. However, during my recent visit to Thailand, I decided to give them another chance, and to my surprise, I absolutely fell in love with them!

Overall, I had a great time at the restaurant and thoroughly enjoyed the food. It's funny how unexpected things, like stumbling upon this restaurant, can turn out to be a delightful surprise. If I ever get the chance to visit Phang-nga again, I will definitely return to "Kheim Island Seafood".

Thailand Trip: นาทีสุดท้ายไปสระมรกตและน้ำตกร้อน (Emerald Pool & Hot Spring Waterfall Krabi 09/06/23)

 

กำลังขับรถไปภูเก็ตไปเอาสวีดิชพาสปอร์ต อยู่ดีได้อยากไปสระมรกตกับน้ำตกร้อนซะงั้น อีก 2 ชั่วโมงสระมรกตและน้ำตกร้อนกำลังจะปิด รีบขับสุดๆ สุดท้ายก็ได้ไปทัน บางครั้งการที่ไม่ได้แพลนอะไรก็ดีเหมือนกัน ทำให้เราได้ไปสถานที่ที่เราไม่ได้วางแผนไว้   Things happen when you least expect them. That's life hehe.

ข้อควรระวัง: สำหรับน้ำตกร้อนแช่แล้วรู้สึกสบายตัวมากๆค่ะ แต่ยุงค่อนข้างเยอะมาก เพื่อนๆควรเตรียมสเปรย์กันยุงติดไปด้วยจะดีมากค่ะ และก็ไมาควรแช่เกิน 15 - 20 นาทีเพราะอาจจะเป็นลมได้ค่ะ

As I was heading to Phuket to get my Swedish passport, an unexpected and spontaneous decision led me to the captivating Emerald Pool and Hot Stream Waterfall in Klong Thom, Krabi. 

Life has a way of surprising us when we least expect it. Arriving just one and a half hours before closing time, I made the most of my short visit and thoroughly enjoyed every moment spent there.

Please note that at the Hot Spring, there are quite a lot of mosquitoes, so having some mosquito repellent on hand would be helpful.

Jag lärde känna Pang och hennes bf, Leif, för ett par år sedan när jag var i Hat Yai, Thailand. Det hände bara att de var i Stockholm bara idag innan de resar till Visby. Det var trevligt att träffa er även om jag inte har haft mycket tid att verkligen visa dem runt Stockholm. Hoppas i alla fall att ni två har det fantastiskt i Visby (såklart ...)

A couple of years ago, I had the pleasure of meeting Pang and her boyfriend, Leif, during my visit to Hat Yai, Thailand. Today, luck was on our side as they happened to be in Stockholm before heading to Visby. Although I didn't have much time to give them a proper tour, it was truly wonderful to see them again. I'm sure you both will have an amazing time in Visby (of course you will...). Enjoy your adventures!

A big thanks to my bestie, Jantima Anantaworapot, for treating me to a lovely lunch in Trang. Hopefully, we'll have the chance to meet up in Sweden soon, babe! The food was fantastic, and I couldn't get enough of the "Koong Krob" – the Thai-Chinese style deep-fried shrimp was simply delightful. 

The owner and staff were incredibly friendly and kind. Without a doubt, I'll be returning next time I find myself in Trang.

ชาวสวีเดนเฉลิมฉลองวันชาติในวันที่ 6 มิถุนายน เพื่อเป็นเกียรติแก่เหตุการณ์ทางประวัติศาสตร์สองเหตุการณ์ คือ กุสตาฟ วาซา ได้รับเลือกเป็นกษัตริย์ (6 มิถุนายน ค.ศ. 1523) และการนำรัฐธรรมนูญฉบับใหม่มาใช้ (6 มิถุนายน ค.ศ. 1809) 

ประวัติศาสตร์ 

ประวัติวันชาติของสวีเดนมีขึ้นตั้งแต่ช่วงทศวรรษที่ 1500 เมื่อวันที่ 6 มิถุนายน ค.ศ. 1523 กุสตาฟ วาซาขี่ม้าไปที่อุปซอลา ดอมคีร์กาเพื่อสวมมงกุฎเป็นกษัตริย์ และต่อมาได้ปลดปล่อยสวีเดนจากสหภาพคาลมาร์ ซึ่งในขณะนั้นประกอบด้วยเดนมาร์ก สวีเดน และนอร์เวย์

Swedes celebrate their National Day on 6 June in honour of two historical events: Gustav Vasa being elected king (6th June 1523) and the adoption of a new constitution (6th June 1809). 

The history of Sweden’s National Day, all the way back to the 1500s. On June 6th 1523, Gustav Vasa was crowned king and subsequently liberated Sweden from the Kalmar Union, which at that time was comprised of Denmark, Sweden, and Norway.  A few hundred years later on the 6th of June 1809, Sweden adopted a new constitution restoring political power to the parliament.

The idea of the national celebration came first from Artur Hazelius, who founded Skansen, the oldest open-air museum in Sweden. Artur first started celebrating on the 6th of June during the 90s. 

It wasn’t until the dissolution of the union between Norway and Sweden in 1905, Sweden started to create their own flag as a result, that Swedes started calling the 6th of June the “Swedish Flag Day” in 1916.

Till this day, Skansen is the go-to for many Stockholmers and the Swedish Royal Family to celebrate June 6th. However it would take approximately 100 years for the Swedish parliament to recognise the day as an official holiday. In 2004, the parliament finally voted on the 6th of June to become the Swedish National holiday.

ตอนมาอยู่ไทยช่วง holiday เราก็เริ่มมาเรียนเย็บเสื้อเพื่อไปพัฒนาแบรดน์ตัวเอง และแอนก็ได้มีโอกาสตัดชุดให้เพื่อนและชุดเพื่อนเจ้าสาว ก็เสนอตัดเย็บให้ จริงๆแอนอยากทำให้เป็นของขวัญ

รู้ว่าการตัดเย็บไม่ใช่สิ่งที่เราชำนาญ เพราะแบรนด์แฟชั่นของแอน ANNE PK มีช่างตัดเย็บอยู่แล้ว ส่วนใหญ่เราจะทำแทบทุกอย่างในแบรนด์รวมไปถึงการทำงานด้าน designing และ pattern making ด้วย ยกเว้นการตัดเย็บ   ANNE PK ยังเป็นแบรนด์เล็กๆ handmade ไม่ใช่ mass production  

ยังไงก็ตามต้องขอบคุณเพื่อนๆทั้ง สองคนที่เข้าใจและ appreciate ของขวัญที่ทำให้จากใจ และคำขอบคุณสั้นๆง่ายๆก็ทำให้แอนมีกำลังใจที่จะเรียนรู้เพิ่มเติมและสร้างแบรนด์ของแอนต่อไป  

นอกจากนี้ยังทำให้เรารู้ว่าเรายังโชคดีที่มีช่างตัดเสื้อฝีมือดีมากที่เย็บเสื้อได้เทียบเท่างานของต่างประเทศ ขอบคุณค่ะ 

ตอนนี้กำลังเตรียมตัวสำหรับคอลเลกชั่นใหม่ ยังไงแล้วฝากติตตามด้วยนะคะ!!!!!

During my visit to Thailand, I took up the challenge of learning how to sew clothes, and to my dear friends' surprise, I offered to craft a suit and bridesmaid dresses for them. Although sewing isn't exactly my expertise, I couldn't resist trying my hand at it. My true passion lies in my own fashion brand, ANNE PK, where I specialise in designing and pattern making. In my role for ANNE PK, I handle everything except sewing, leaving that task to other skilled hands.

I extend my heartfelt gratitude to my friend Keng Suwanchartree  for graciously wearing the outfit I made. I am also immensely thankful to my dear friend DearDear Promsawat. for appreciating the gift. As simple as it may seem, sometimes a heartfelt "Thank you" holds more value than any money. Your appreciation means the world to me.

It was a humbling experience that made me realize how fortunate I am to have a skilled tailor working for my own brand. Looking ahead, I aspire to master the art of tailoring myself in the near future.

Nä jag besökte Thailand började jag lära mig att sy kläder och jag hade erbjudit två av mina kära vänner att sy en kostym och brudtärna klänningar. Sömnad är inte riktigt my cup of tea. Jag har jobbat hård för mitt eget modemärke, ANNE PK, är jag specialiserad på design och mönstertillverkning. Mitt ansvar för ANNE PK är för det mesta utom att sy.
