Today, I'm excited to share my recent experience during my extended stay in Phuket, Thailand. Before heading back to Sweden, I needed to renew my passport in Phuket, which gave me the perfect excuse to linger a bit longer. I decided to extend my stay by about a week, and I was determined to make the most of it. Choosing the right accommodation was crucial for me; I was looking for a place where I could do most of my activities within the hotel premises and simply unwind. 

Thankfully, my cousin - Beer - gave me a fantastic recommendation, and I couldn't have been happier with my choice. The hotel he suggested turned out to be an absolute gem. From the moment I arrived, I was enveloped in a serene atmosphere that made me forget all about the hustle and bustle of daily life. The tranquility was just what I needed for a relaxing vacation. 

The staff at the hotel were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Their warm hospitality added an extra layer of comfort to my stay. If you're like me and prefer a travel experience that feels more private and personalised, then Anantara Vacation Club Mai Khao Phuket is an excellent choice. The only drawback is that the hotel is somewhat distant from the city, requiring a short drive to reach downtown. Some might consider it a disadvantage, but for me, it's perfect. I appreciated the fact that it's nestled in a quieter, less touristy area. It allowed me to truly disconnect and immerse myself in the serenity of Phuket. 

If you're traveling with the entire family, including kids, this might aslo be an ideal option. The hotel offers a plethora of activities for both you and your children to enjoy together. Alternatively, you can simply relax within your area, soaking up the sun and swimming all day.

This time I chose a two-bedroom suite, even though I would only be using one of the rooms and the prices were not significantly different. An extra space was a luxury for me.

Whether you're traveling with family, friends, or simply want more room to spread out and relax, I highly recommend going for the larger option.

โชคดีที่เบียร์ แนะนำโรงแรมที่นี่ให้ ขอบคุณนะ  โรงแรมบรรยากาศดีเงียบสงบ ทำให้ลืมความวุ่นวายของชีวิตประจำวันได้ทันที ความสงบที่เหมาะสำหรับการพักผ่อน พนักงานโรงแรมเป็นกันเองมาก ๆ ค่ะ 

ถ้าเพื่อนๆคนไหนต้องการประสบการณ์ที่พักแบบเป็นส่วนตัว ANANTARA VACATION CLUB MAI KHAO PHUKET คือทางเลือกที่ยอดเยี่ยมค่ะ ข้อเสียอย่างเดียวคือโรงแรมอยู่นอกเมืองซึ่งต้องขับรถเพื่อไปจะไป Phuket Town บางคนอาจจะคิดว่าเป็นข้อเสีย แต่สำหรับแอนดีค่ะ แอนชอบความเงียบสงบทำให้รู้สึกหลุดออกจากความวุ่นวายได้ 

และถ้าเพื่อนๆคนไหนเดินทางมากับครอบครัวทั้งครอบครัวรวมถึงเด็กๆ ที่นี่ก็อาจเป็นตัวเลือกที่เหมาะสำหรับเพื่อนๆได้ด้วยนะ โรงแรมมีกิจกรรมมากมายที่พ่อแม่และลูกๆ สามารถเพลิดเพลินไปพร้อมกัน หรือถ้าอยากพักผ่อนในพื้นที่ของเรา ก็แค่อยู่ในห้องส่วนตัว อาบแดและว่ายน้ำได้ทั้งวัน 

คราวนี้แอนเลือกจองห้องสวีท 2 ห้องนอนถึงแม้ว่าจะใช้แค่ห้องเดียวก็ตาม แต่ราคาไม่ได้ต่างกันมากเท่าไหร่ ยังไงแล้วก็ขอให้เพื่อนๆที่จะมาพักมีความสุขกับการพักผ่อนนะคะ

เพื่อนมาช่วยวางแหจับปลาที่ summer house ปีละครั้ง กิจกรรมยามว่างหน้าร้อน

 

วันสบายๆ ช่งหน้าร้อนสวีเดน เอาเรืออกมาขับก่อนเอาเรือขึ้นจากนำ้ไปจอดที่โกดัง

วันนี้อากาศดีมากก็เลยออกมาทาน Lunch ที่ Sjöboden Djurönäset

What a splendid weather we're having today; it's 25 degrees Celsius here in Stockholm. I decided to go out for a lunch near our summer house at Sjöboden Djurönäset. I got a really yummy shrimp summer salad, a coke, and lemon curd ice cream. The lunch cost about 295 kr, which is a fair price considering the lovely view and the pleasant, laid-back meal that make it worthwhile. You can reach the restaurant either by car or by boat.

วันนี้อากาศดีทาก ที่สตอกโฮล์ม 25 องศาเซลเซียส ก็เลยออกไปทานมื้อเที่ยงใกล้ๆบ้านที่ Sjöboden Djurönäset สั่งสลัดกุ้ง (Sommar Sallad) โค้ก และไอศกรีมเลมอนเคิร์ด ราคาประมาณ 295 โครน (เกือบ 1000 บาท) ซึ่งเป็นราคาที่ปกติ แต่สำหรับเราก็แอบแพงอยู่ อิอิ แต่ถือว่าจ่ายค่าวิวและบรรยากาศที่ผ่อนคลาย สบายๆ  สามารถไปร้านนี้ได้โดยรถยนต์หรือเรือค่ะ

Today's weather was just perfect! I mean, the sun was shining, and there's a cool breeze - the kind of weather you could't resist working outside. So, Pappa (Bengt), Calle, and I decided to tackle a little project. We gave our terrace a much-needed fresh coat of oil before our dear friend Amp, her hubby, and their kids came over later in the evening.

It's been ages since I last saw Amp. Besides I really looked forward to meeting Amp's adorable little one, Nora. Moreover, Amp just recently welcomed a new addition to her family - Luna, a precious bundle of joy who entered this world just six months ago. Could't wait to see Luna's cute smile and witness the love and warmth that surrounds her. 

I feel so blessed to have such amazing people in my life. We all had a great evening full of laughter, memories, and love! Ciao! 😄

วันนี้อากาศดีมาก! แสงแดดส่องและลมเย็นๆ อากาศที่แอนไม่สามารถปฏิเสธที่จะอยู่กลางแดดได้เลย วันนี้ Bengt Calle และ แอนตัดสินใจทาน้ำมันที่ระเบียง ก่อนที่ Amp กับ แฟนและเด็กๆ จะแวะมาหาที่ Summer House เย็นนี้

ไม่ได้เจอกันนานมาก ได้เเต่เมาท์กันทางโทรศัพท์ วันนี้จะได้เจอหลานน้อยน่ารัก Nora กับ Luna ซักที รู้สึกโชคดีที่มีเพื่อนดีๆในชีวิต วันนี้สนุกมากจร้า 😄

Väder var helt perfekt idag! Solen sken och det blåste en sval bris - den typen av väder som man inte kan motstå att jobba utomhus. Så, Pappa (Bengt), Calle och jag bestämde oss för att ge vår terrass ett välbehövligt nytt lager olja innan min kära vän Amp, hennes man och deras gulliga barn kom över senare på kvällen. 

Det var länge sedan Amp och Jag träffades sist!. Idag såg Jag verkligen fram emot att träffa Amps lilla Nora. Dessutom har Amp nyligen välkomnat ett nytt tillskott till sin familj - Luna, en dyrbar liten glädjekälla som kom till världen för bara sex månader sedan. 

Jag känner mig så välsignad som har fått så fantastiska människor i mitt liv. Alla hade en fantastisk kväll fylld av skratt, minnen och kärlek! Ciao! 😄

วันนี้ไป FIKA กับ พี่เหมียว และ BBQ Party ที่บ้านเพื่อนสนิทแถว Vasastan, Stockholm

 

เดินย่อยหลังข้าวเย็นแถวบ้าน (ta en promenad efter middagen)

 

แวะทานข้าวที่พังงา "เกาะเคี่ยมซีฟู้ด" อาหารอร่อย (Stumbling upon this restaurant, can turn out to be a delightful lunch.)

 

Visiting "Kheim Island Seafood" restaurant was a spontaneous decision. While driving through Phang-nga, unsure of where to have lunch, I decided to google the top seafood places to eat nearby, and that's when I stumbled upon this gem.

The food here is simply amazing, and the kindness and friendliness of the staff and the restaurant owner make the dining experience even more enjoyable. I was pleased to learn that they source all their raw materials locally, directly from the hardworking local fishermen.

The seafood here is incredibly fresh, and each dish carries an authentic and delicious flavour. Regrettably, I only had the chance to order two dishes this time, as I plan to indulge in more culinary delights with my friend "Ju" once I reach Phuket."

I ordered to a Thai-style stir-fried stink beans with shrimp and a Thai sour curry soup with crab. Although I requested a milder taste, the dishes were still a bit spicier than I preferred. Nevertheless, their incredible flavours made up for it, and I found both dishes to be absolutely delicious.

When I was young, stink beans weren't exactly my favorite. However, during my recent visit to Thailand, I decided to give them another chance, and to my surprise, I absolutely fell in love with them!

Overall, I had a great time at the restaurant and thoroughly enjoyed the food. It's funny how unexpected things, like stumbling upon this restaurant, can turn out to be a delightful surprise. If I ever get the chance to visit Phang-nga again, I will definitely return to "Kheim Island Seafood".

Thailand Trip: นาทีสุดท้ายไปสระมรกตและน้ำตกร้อน (Emerald Pool & Hot Spring Waterfall Krabi 09/06/23)

 

กำลังขับรถไปภูเก็ตไปเอาสวีดิชพาสปอร์ต อยู่ดีได้อยากไปสระมรกตกับน้ำตกร้อนซะงั้น อีก 2 ชั่วโมงสระมรกตและน้ำตกร้อนกำลังจะปิด รีบขับสุดๆ สุดท้ายก็ได้ไปทัน บางครั้งการที่ไม่ได้แพลนอะไรก็ดีเหมือนกัน ทำให้เราได้ไปสถานที่ที่เราไม่ได้วางแผนไว้   Things happen when you least expect them. That's life hehe.

ข้อควรระวัง: สำหรับน้ำตกร้อนแช่แล้วรู้สึกสบายตัวมากๆค่ะ แต่ยุงค่อนข้างเยอะมาก เพื่อนๆควรเตรียมสเปรย์กันยุงติดไปด้วยจะดีมากค่ะ และก็ไมาควรแช่เกิน 15 - 20 นาทีเพราะอาจจะเป็นลมได้ค่ะ

As I was heading to Phuket to get my Swedish passport, an unexpected and spontaneous decision led me to the captivating Emerald Pool and Hot Stream Waterfall in Klong Thom, Krabi. 

Life has a way of surprising us when we least expect it. Arriving just one and a half hours before closing time, I made the most of my short visit and thoroughly enjoyed every moment spent there.

Please note that at the Hot Spring, there are quite a lot of mosquitoes, so having some mosquito repellent on hand would be helpful.

While living in Sweden, I haven't had the opportunity to make many Thai friends, but Meaow stands out as one of the finest ones, always reliable and supportive. It feels great to be back in town meeting all familiar faces, even if only for a short period before moving to Spain.
